Lemon tea in the garden

Whether you are taking a trip, having a backyard BBQ, or going on an adventure, these 3 sun tea recipes will be perfect for your summer vacation, parties, or road trips. From the tried and true plain tea to the flavor-packed brews, sun tea is a summertime favorite that you will definitely need to add to your Pinterest board.

Classic Sun Tea Recipe

You Will Need:

A large glass jar or pitcher
6-8 cups of fresh room-temperature water
4 tea bags
sun

Directions:

Fill the glass jar or pitcher with the fresh tepid water. Place the teabags into the water and cover the vessel opening with a breathable cloth and set in the sun to steep for 3 hours. Serve over ice and add honey or sugar to sweeten to your taste. Sun tea does have a shelf life. It will keep in the refrigerator for 1 week.

Very Berry Tea

You Will Need:

A large glass jar or pitcher
6-8 cups of fresh room-temperature water
4 hibiscus tea bags
50 blueberries
25 seedless grapes, halved
25 raspberries
10 strawberries, halved
sun

Fill that pitcher with the water. Make sure the fruit is pre-washed and gently mix into the water. Add tea bags, cover, then steep for 3 hours in the sun. I prefer sugar as a sweetener for this tea, but the fruit is often sweet enough. Check the levels before you add any further sugar or honey.
